How to create an account and log in
You can create an account in a moment, and log in securely with a passkey or password.
Create an account
- Tap Logg inn (Log in) at the top of the page, and choose to create an account.
- Enter your email address and a display name. The display name is what other users see on your listings and in your conversations.
- Follow the steps to register your login — your device handles the rest.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on your own.
What is a passkey?
A passkey is a modern, secure way of logging in that replaces the password. Instead of remembering something, you confirm with your fingerprint, face or the screen lock on your phone or computer.
- Easier: nothing to remember, nothing to mistype.
- More secure: a passkey cannot be guessed or stolen in a data breach the way a password can.
- Private: your fingerprint and face never leave your device. We only store the public key — never biometrics. See the privacy policy.
You can also use a password
If you prefer a regular password, you can set one under Min side → Sikkerhet og passord (My page → Security and password). If you want to change it, we send a confirmation link to your email address — the password is not updated until you click the link. If you only have a passkey and no password yet, you can set a first password in the same place.
Forgotten your password?
If you have forgotten your password, tap "Glemt passord?" (Forgotten password?) on the login page. We will send a recovery link to your email address — click the link and choose a new password. The link is valid for a short time, and you can request a new one if it expires.
Verified account
You can add a trust badge to your account at /verifisering. There are two levels:
- Payment confirmed (99 kr one-off) — confirms that you pay with a real card, and gives an amber badge on your listings. Card payment is active.
- Identity verified — confirms who you are with BankID or Vipps. Free and stays free. Currently in demo mode (no real signing) — real Vipps/BankID access will be switched on once Folkemarked is a registered company.
Vipps login is coming
We are working on letting you log in with Vipps in addition to passkey and password. This is not live yet — we will switch it on once the agreement and access are in place.
I can't log in
If you have changed phones or lost access to your passkey, you can register a new passkey. If you still can't get in, contact us at kundeservice@folkemarked.no and we will help you from there.
