How to find a job on Folkemarked

Browse vacancies from Norwegian employers, upload your CV, and let Folkemarked help you find the jobs that suit you best.

Find the vacancies

Go to Jobb (Jobs) in the navigation, or visit /jobb. You can filter by location, industry, type of employment (permanent/part-time/seasonal), sector and whether the position offers remote working. Vacancies come from NAV Arbeidsplassen and directly from Norwegian employers.

Set up your job profile

If you want tailored matches, log in and go to Jobbprofil (Job profile):

Upload your CV (PDF).
Tell us what you're looking for — location, type of position and industry.
Save your profile.

You can upload several CVs and choose which one is active — useful if you're applying in different directions.

See your personal matches

Under Mine treff (My matches) you'll find the vacancies we think suit you best, ranked by your CV and preferences. Tap Oppdater treff (Update matches) after uploading a new CV or changing your profile — the matching then runs again. The page updates automatically; expect a short moment while it works.

Each match shows an explanation of why the vacancy is relevant to you. If AI isn't available at that moment, we use keywords and recency instead and label the matches accordingly.

What are you worth? See salary insights

Visit Salary insights (linked from your Job profile page) to see the salary range that employers state in vacancies posted directly on Folkemarked, broken down by industry. The page shows minimum, maximum and median figures based on listings where a salary was declared — a growing sample as more employers post on Folkemarked Jobs.

Applying for a vacancy

Open the vacancy and use the Søk på stillingen (Apply for the position) button to go to the employer's application portal. The application process itself takes place with the employer, not on Folkemarked.

Saved searches and alerts

Alerts for job listings are not available yet — we're working on extending this to the Jobs section. Saved searches and email alerts already work for cars, property, boats and the marketplace.

If you use a feed reader, you can subscribe to new vacancies via Folkemarked's RSS feed: /jobb/feed.xml. The feed supports the same filters as the jobs page.

Who posts the vacancies?

Listings from NAV Arbeidsplassen are official employer postings published via NAV — these are marked "Hentet fra NAV Arbeidsplassen" (Sourced from NAV Arbeidsplassen) with a clear direct link to the source. Listings that Norwegian employers post directly on Folkemarked are marked "Fra arbeidsgiveren" (From the employer). Folkemarked is not a recruiter and is not a party to the hiring process.
